Best and worst performances from Saturday NCAA Football
Impressive
LSU: First, as I said in another thread, big emotional win for LSU. A home game for the Tigers, but they had to travel to Tempe, very difficult to win. They do not stop to much of the team would have done, and got the victory.
Notre Dame: Charlie Weis, the best two weeks of a new football coach at the school, and it is no exaggeration to think that they have a legitimate chance to beat USC in a few weeks. They should be capable of a number of points in a home is just a development issue, if the force turnover and helps to keep offense Leinart, Bush and Co in the field
Texas: Gotta much denigrated Mac Brown and his troops. They are in a very hostile environment and come to victory. Vince Young is for real, for those who do not yet know. They have solidified as the challenger to USC.
Clemson: White Hurst Merriweather and lead to a victory over Maryland, which is a classic drop / sandwich Thursday after the great victory of Texas A & M and Miami come next week.
Disappointments
btw, I'm Gonna Give Michigan a pass, as they beat a team that I see as "their level". Not a great evil, in my opinion.
Oklahoma: They have withdrawn from a base Tulsa team for the 4th quarter, but QB ever to achieve this situation is difficult. In fact so bad not to throw the ball at all in the second half. May it not be a bad time for Barry Switzer at Norman option.
Pittsburgh: Wannstedt and Cavanaugh have officially destroyed the program and Tyler Palko in the process. Regardless of how bad they were spanked by Notre Dame last week, no excuse for this loss of one against an inferior opponent. Glad to see Frank Solich a great victory for Ohio U program, however.
TCU: This is a young team in a huge disappointment, I can not disturb them. But certainly a disappointment to lose for SMEs. TCU is perhaps not very good, judging by the Woes OR. Patterson is an excellent coach, and they bounce
