How old is too old to play Pro Football?

There are only a little over 40 professional football players, who have continued to play after reaching the age of 40. Football is one of the few sports where the players usually quit playing while they are still in the 30s and even less if they are seriously injured. There are several reasons why these pro players retire so young. Because football is a physical sport, it is very normal for players of the NFL to reach any type of damage on a regular basis. These injuries vary in seriousness from simple bruises or sprains, the most serious injuries such as dislocation, breaks, etc. Some players simply tire of the creation of these pounding and chooses to leave. The body can only so much abuse, and it is a fact that the older they are more seriously injured.

The body is less resistant than thirty-eight twenty-two. Other in May on other career opportunities, and perhaps even another sport.

But what age is too old to play pro football? Who decides when they retire? They are very good questions, because every person is different. A player may be in a better state than an other two hours and forty-two thirty. Twenty-seven years, in May have pain severe enough to be forced to end his career before he even thirty.

George Blanda holds the record for the oldest player in the NFL, the choice to withdraw one month before the anniversary of his nine fortieths. Most of the time a player makes the decision on when he stops playing professional football. Sometimes, however, may be recommended by their physician or another person whose opinion counts. Until a player is healthy and in shape, but also for its many physical agility tests and investigations, he can leave his own body to tell him when the time to call over.

Some players are particularly vulnerable and maintain a history of multiple injuries. Vulnerable if those players decide to leave a team and to another, may be forced to retire. The new team will not sign a player, what they are, if not 100%.

So ultimately it is up to each player and his experience to decide when it is time to retire from the NFL.
